For some reason, this week has ended up being crazy busy and not-so-much-fun at all. Unfortunately we’ve had to miss out on a bunch of great bands, including Bear Hands opening for the Manic Street Preachers, who haven’t played New York in 10 years! But, as the Mouse likes to say, “Gotta go to work, gotta go to work, gotta have a job.” Or you could try robbing this lady.
So, speaking of work, here’s one of my favorite songs “about” trabajo, from hip hop DJ/producer RJD2. Simply titled “Work,” from his 2002 album Deadringer, the song is so good, it sometimes helps you remember what you’re working for in the first place.
